On 11th September I will be taking on a challenge of Olympic proportions. Great Britain's greatest ever athlete (after Alan Shearer), Mo Farah, has dared to take me on in my own back yard. Jones V Mo will take place over the 13.1 miles of the Great North Run from Newcastle to South Shields. He may have more Olympic Gold Medals than I have A-Levels, but I'm pretty sure he's peaked too soon and am confident I will triumph....
I know I ask every year for support, and every year people are very generous, but the challenge doesn't get any easier and the cause keeps getting greater. So I would again love and welcome any and all donations to help motivate me up that hill from mile 10-12 when all seems lost, and to continue the great work that The Perfect Day Foundation does. The following link has information on projects that have been supported in recent years, and where money you have donated to me in the past has been spent.

This year I am supporting The Perfect Day Foundation's 2 for £2000 project which aims to create two new and safe sporting facilities for young people in Zambia. These facilities, playing pitches & courts Munali School and a Beach Volleyball Court in Kabwata, will give more young people more sporting opportunities, and also allow local NGO Sport in Action to engage with more young people as they use sport as a tool to empower people on issues such as gender equality, and educate on issues such as HIV/AIDS.
