David was passionate about British engineering and recognised the impressive achievements of the Avro Vulcan. He became a Founding Guardian of XH588 and a supporter of The Vulcan to the Sky Trust. David was proud to help maintain and operate an icon of British innovation and to encourage engineers of the future. Dad was a giver to many charities, but we felt he would approve of setting up this page for donations in his memory, in place of flowers etc. It's a fitting tribute to his own exceptional engineering abilities.
