Story
Connor, my friend's son has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, an incurable fatal condition that will limit him to a wheelchair by his pre-teen years and shorten his life expectancy to his mid-twenties.
Since his diagnosis 5 years ago we have been fighting to raise awareness of this condition and vital funds. This money is used to directly further vital research and trials to provide a future for Connor and the other boys with this condition, which affects 1 in 3500 boys born globally.
I will be cycling from London to Paris (300km) within 24hrs on the 10th June. Each year the challenge gets tougher as I get older, but the motivation to push through the pain is immense and nothing will stop me from completing the journey. Your support and donations make it all worthwhile as the money made really makes a difference, and significant breakthroughs are close. Already the funds raised have made gene therapy treatment a reality and are directly funding & resourcing clinical trials across the country.
I know times are tough for all of us, but anything you can donate will be 100% be used to make a tangible difference in the battle against this cruel condition.
