Story

My Tribute to Bethan Sims

With Great sadness Bethan Sims a very close friend of the Family and Niece of my Sister  who Touched the hearts of all who she meet Sadly lost her fight at the Tender age of 20  in September 2014 to Cystic Fibrosis, This Year 2015 I have entry to Both the Llanelli and London Marathons which are 7 days apart and which I will be running in Honour of Bethan to raise funds for the Better Life Appeal.

The Better Life Appeal supports the All Wales Adult Cystic Fibrosis Centre based at Llandough Hospital.  This is the only adult Cystic Fibrosis centre in Wales caring for almost 250 patients. Young adults transfer to the adult centre from paediatric services in Wales at the age of 16-18. By 2015, it is expected that we will be caring for upwards of 350 patients from Wales with Cystic Fibrosis.

The centre aims to provide its patients with the best care, support, advice and encouragement to meet the needs of each individual and their families with this life-long disease.
