Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am hoping to raise money for the Joshua Hayday Helping Hand Trust, a charity set up by a friend who experienced the tragic loss of his first born, Joshua, at less than a year old having been diagnosed with polymicrogyria (a condition that causes additional folds in the brain which lead to physical and learning disabilities as well as seizures).  During that year, the strain on their family was immense - not just the emotional strain of caring for Joshua, but also the logistics of ferrying their seriously ill child between hospital appointments, working, running the family home and looking after other children.

With this in mind, JHHHT was set up with the aim of supporting families facing similar challenges by providing funding for areas such as respite care, transport and specialist equipment not provided by the NHS.  It is a fantastic cause supporting families in their hour of need.  Please visit their website www.joshuahaydaytrust.org/joshuas-story-why-we-exist for more background to their story and I hope you are able to give generously.

About the charity

JHHHT has been set up in memory of Joshua Hayday in order to help support families with children with life-limiting conditions. The aim of JHHHT is to assist projects which will provide real practical support to families, such as overnight respite care, assistance with transport needs and home help.
