I’ve been wanting to run a marathon for a few years now. I’m finally taking the plunge and throwing myself into it after a couple of years of debating with myself. Initially I was hoping to do this in 2020 to mark 20 years of my grandads passing, but due to covid and life getting in the way, it never happened. Now here we are, all signed up and raring to go on April 3rd 2022.

I’ve decided to try and raise some money along the way to help out headspace central Lancashire. A small charity who offer support to those who have suffered brain injuries or major trauma. My grandad passed away with a brain Haemorrhage on the 14/11/2000 and unfortunately didn’t get the chance to receive the great support that they offer for victims and their families.  

I am looking to raise as much as possible in order to support the users of headways services. Even if it only helps one person then that will do for me. So please do feel free to donate as much or as little as you like and help Headway continue to do what they do best. Everything helps. 

I will try not to bore everyone with training posts in the lead up but I will be posting from time to time with updates and again on completion.
