We fund research and provide support to improve blood cancer patients' lives

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am taking part in this year's Great North Run in memory of my mam, Vivienne Prince, who passed away after a short battle with acute myeloid leukaemia in December 2019 aged 62. She was diagnosed with this aggressive and cruel illness just three weeks before she died.

Mam was a wonderful person who dedicated her life to helping others, particularly those family members closest to her. It is so difficult for us to come to terms with losing her.

I am raising funds for Bloodwise as the charity does brilliant work in funding researching into all blood cancers, including leukaemia, and offers support to blood cancer patients. Its vision is to beat blood cancer.

If raising funds for Bloodwise makes it easier for just one family going through something similar to us, and perhaps plays a small part in making the day blood cancer is beaten come a little bit sooner, it will be more than worth it.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and if you are able to donate, it would be greatly appreciated.
