Story
I am running the London Marathon in April 2017 for Child Bereavement UK, a charity which is incredibly special to me. I am lucky enough to volunteer at CBUK and have witnessed the positive effect the charity has on those who have been bereaved. It rebuilds lives.
As everyone knows, I have experienced this journey personally on more than one occasion and can fully appreciate the depth of despair you can find yourself in and the enormity of what is required to drag you out again. CBUK offers refuge.
Not only that, CBUK educates professionals - such as a newly qualified teacher coping with bereavement in their classroom. Believe it or not, teachers have little, if any, training in this field and reply on the research and information which a charity like CBUK provides.
I am proud to be running the Marathon in memory of my mother, Caroline, brother, Dominic and grandfather, Ozzie. I miss them every minute of every day.
Thank you for visiting my Page and for your generous donations to a cause which I hold most dear.
