We raise awareness of AIDS through cricket to strengthen communities and fight disease

Story

As many people know next year I shall be going to Africa to work for 'Cricket without boundaries' teaching underprivileged children Cricket and life skills. During my two weeks in Africa I am expected to coach around 5,000 children many of whom are orphans. While at the schools the charity will provide the children with s free HIV test and refer them for treatment if needed.

For all this to happen the charity needs donations. I have been set a target of £975 to raise before my first trip next Spring. I will be organising many events over the next year and I ask you to spare and spare money you have whether it's 50p or £50 pound to the cause so that me and CWB can help to tackle HIV and AIDS in Africa.

About the charity

Cricket Without Boundaries is dedicated to helping, educating and developing local communities around the world through the spread and growth of cricket. Crucially, CWB also uses cricket as a tool in the fight against AIDS. CWB’s training sessions have at their heart discussion about the disease in terms of prevention, treatment and equality of treatment for those with and without the disease.
