Story
So what's Ten-y-fan? It's a ridiculous challenge thats what it is!
Pen-Y-Fan is the highest peak in South Wales standing at 2,907ft and as the name suggests the challenge is to climb up and down 10 times in just 24 hours! Over 29,000ft up (and 29,000ft down!) that's Everest in a day!
So why am I only just fundraising? After a few weeks of struggling with a bad knee and beating myself up about not being able to complete this horrific challenge I've finally got my head straight! I'm going for it and if it's only Six-Y-Fan or Seven-Y-Fan that I end up achieving then hey thats still an awesome achievement.
I believe that last years event was cut short due to adverse weather and the previous year just 10% of starters completed the task in the allotted time. That's how tough it is!
So we start at 6pm on Saturday 12th May and finish 6pm on Sunday 13th May. I'm excited, frightened and motivated all at the same time and so any support I receive will help a really great charity.
I’m doing this in aid of The Kids Cancer Charity who provide care and support for families, children and teenagers affected by cancer. Your donations, however big or small, are greatly appreciated and will help the charity to continue their work!
