Story
In March 2012 my wife Maria was diagnosed with breast cancer shortly after her 50th birthday. As you can imagine this came as a huge shock to the whole family. Thankfully the cancer was caught in its very early stages and it was removed two weeks after the diagnosis. Following the operation we returned to the hospital to be told by the specialist that the operation had been a success and there was no evidence that it had spread through the lymph nodes to other parts of the body. He explained that chemotherapy wasn't required but Maria would have to have a three week course of radiotherapy. Now, nearly two years on I would like to do my part to help raise funds for breast cancer care so women can continue to receive early detection, treatment and after care for breast care.
I tried to get into the Ride London 100 in August but was unsuccessful so I had a look at what else I could and this challenge really appealed to me. Its going to be hard (I'm not the fittest bloke these days) but I'm confident I can do it with sufficient training.
Its 300 miles over 4 days starting at Blackheath, South London and finishing on the Champs Elysees in Paris. I will put regular updates on here how my training is going.
Therefore I would be extremely grateful for any donation you are able to give toward this worthy cause.
Thank you so much for your support.
