Fundraising for The Sussex Heart Charity
Story
On 24th February 2017, I was stopped in my tracks by a heart attack at just 56. I owe a huge debt to:
- the Cardiac Care Unit at Brighton, who took amazing care of me and fitted a couple of stents to get my heart working again
- the Cardiac Rehabilitation team at Southlands Hospital for their brilliant post-op care
- my amazing family who were by my side through it all
- countless friends who prayed for my recovery
I am very blessed to have been given the gift of renewed health, and this is a chance to celebrate that gift, and raise some funds to support those who did so much for me. I'll be spending the first anniversary of my heart attack covering 100km (that's 62 miles) of the Sussex and Surrey lanes.
I'd be very grateful for anything you'd care to give to support the Sussex Heart Charity. If 100 friends gave just £10.00 each, that would be brilliant, and I'd reach my target!
And, in case you are wondering - yes, I have been training for this, so I expect to finish!!
