Working for the RNLI as a lifeguard on Perranporth beach I have seen for myself the importance of this service in Cornwall. We have had to call upon the Cornwall Air Ambulance for quick evacuations of heart attacks, suspected spinal and other major incidents. We can only help a casualty if the emergency services are able to get to us quickly and this can be difficult - particularly when the roads are congested during the summer months. The Cornwall Air Ambulance service is amazing and isessential in this part of the country.

My 16 year old son and I are intending to cycle from John O'Groats back to Lands End in two weeks. We are going through most of the mountainous regions in the UK and will be cycling over 950 miles. My son has never attempted this kind of thing before but is keen to do it as a major challenge. I see it as a great chance to spend time with my son on a two week adventure.
