Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

James, Ziggy and myself have decided to support this great cause and rise to the physical challenge of  Soldier30:30 on the 12 October 2019 (even if Ziggy and myself as former “chosen men” should know better!!!)  James is the young whipper snapper who will carry these two old soldiers, he’s an extreme marathon runner...... so insane as us!

Whilst we going for the lower distance due to my seniority and two knee replacements. The first few hours will be in the October early morning darkness, so overall a great demanding challenge for  a very worthy cause, our aim is to complete the distance in 6-7 hours.

The FirstLight Trust works from the bottom up/inside out. They are a grass-roots, community based charity which supports veterans of the Armed Forces and Blue Light Services to rehabilitate back into their community - whatever that looks like for each individual who:-

* Feel like you’ve fallen through the net and don’t know which way to turn?

* Do you have depression, anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), or other mental health issues?

* Are you hungry or homeless? Are you struggling to get off drugs or alcohol?

FirstLight are here for those veterans

They support all those who served in the emergency services and armed forces and their families.
