Story

Hi my name is David Spencer. On the 28th of April I will be running The London Marathon to raise Money for The Calvert trust Exmoor.

I chose the Calvert Trust Exmoor because it is a local charity to me and I see the work they are doing whenever me and my family, visit the beautiful Wistlandpound site. The Calvert Trust provides facilities to enable people with physical, learning, behavioural and sensory disabilities to experience exciting, challenging and enjoyable outdoor activities. I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to engage with sports activities and enjoy the outdoors, whoever you are. The Calvert trust provides facilities, coaching, support and supervision to make this happen whatever the disability. They put smiles on faces and give people experiences they will always remember. That is a worthwhile cause.

On a personal level I have always dreamed of running the London marathon. I watched it on TV and said that one day I will run that, this year is my year and I'm really excited to have an amazing opportunity! I will be taking the Marathon seriously and training hard with the help of a coach to do the best I possibly can on the day. I'm really looking forward to such an amazing experience!
