UPDATE 28/09/18
Due to recent regulations imposed on Shobdon Airfield we
have had to postpone the Deaf Direct fundraising skydive. Unfortunately due to the new regulations
Shobdon are now no longer offering sky diving from that airfield. We are
currently in the process or re-arranging with another organisation, or looking
at other possible fundraising challenges for the team to take on. Sponsorship
will continue to be held by JustGiving and we will ensure updates are posted to
these pages to keep you in the loop with what we are doing! If you would like
to discuss your sponsorship or would like to support Deaf Direct please contact
fundraising@deafdirect.org.uk.
Thank you.
Op's Manager Paul, Equipment coordinator Alex, Fundraising Manager Simon, Engagement officer Paul and volunteer Suzi will be jumping from 10,000 feet to raise money for Deaf Direct!
We are all rather nervous- and very excited as we are all sky dive first timers! We would hugely appreciate you sponsoring the team as we take to the skies!
If you are a UK taxpayer please do complete the gift aid section as this allows us to claim an extra 25p for every £1 you donate! All the funds raised from the skydive will go straight back in to the charity and its day to day work!
Can you hear me? 1 in 6 people in the UK can't. Hearing loss affects us all in some way. Perhaps Granny has the TV on too loud. Maybe Dad is missing some of your conversation - he used to work with heavy machinery. Or maybe your child has been born with a hearing loss and you don't know where to turn.Deaf Direct helps a person to "feel like a human being again" after a diagnosis of hearing loss. We provide practical and emotional support to overcome communication barriers, equipment, training and much more to help people to remain independent. Thank you for your donations!
