Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

So as many of you have heard Austin Davies regrettably passed away on the thursday morning of the 23rd May 2019 aged just 27. As he had a widespread impact across AO, was a good friend to many and an undeniable character in his own right, we are putting a collection together in his memory for a defibrillator to help others.

We are setting 2 goals with hope of achieving the higher for a great cause which will hopefully
save someone’s life in the future.

If we can raise
£2,579 +VAT making £3095, then we can fund a 24/7 public access defib installed in a cabinet on
the side of a building which will be available to anyone, at any time.

If however we
don’t meet this target, then around £900/£1000 will fund a defibrillator inside a building, office or club – and train someone to use it. It wouldn’t have the same availability but would still have the capacity to save lives.

#UPDATE#

We Smashed the £3100 target for the initial public access defib, and as we are launching more awareness around these types of health conditions we have opted to increase the target to £5k. This will not only allow us a public access defib, but for each additional £900 we can fund another unit inside a building and/or local club.

Thank you all for helping promote this cause in memory of a great man!
