Story
In late July 2019 I found myself in the Lake District at the start of the Lakeland 50. It's a 50 mile ultramarathon with 3100m of hills throw in. I was under-trained (not many hills around Cambridge, are there) but confident. Five hours later, 2 things were very clear to me: this was going to be really, really hard, and I was NEVER going to do the Lakeland 100. It took me 19 hours to do the LL50 that year and 2 years later I had reduced that to 15 hours and found that I'd signed up for the 100. It's actually 105 miles with over 6900m of elevation. So, that's the same as going up and down Mt. Everest. I'm not aiming for a time - finishing will be good enough.
So, please dig deep, give generously and know that your support will be one of the main factors that will keep me going.
