Story
Hi all, and thanks for visiting this page.
I'm sure most of you know that I lost my best friend Pete to bowel cancer in 2007, so it's a cause very close to my heart. The world is a much, much duller place without him. I feel the loss every day, but I can't really convey it on paper very eloquently. I did write a few songs about it... but writing songs is something that I can do easily (though I can't vouch for the quality...) - I thought it was about time I pay tribute to Pete and raise some funds with something a little more demanding, so I'm going to walk 26 miles. All in one go. At night.
Those of you who know me will also know that physical activity isn't exactly my modus operandi. Fair enough, walking is a little easier than running it, but, come on now people, it's 26 miles! That's got to be worth a few bob, right?
Cancer Research UK is funded entirely by amazing supporters like you. By sponsoring me, you can help more people survive bowel cancer. It's such an amazing charity that I spend all of my working week involved with it. Crikey, anyone would think I worked there.
Every pound you donate really does make a difference to Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating bowel cancer – so go on, give us a few quid.
If you are a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box when donating as this will increase your donation by at least 25% at no cost to you.
Bowel cancer is, frankly, pretty rubbish. It's one of the most rubbish things I can think of. With funding, we can help scientists eliminate this terrible thing once and for all.
Thank you,
Dom.
