Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am walking from the Solway to the Tyne along Hadrian's wall and then running the Great North run.

I was born in Newcastle over 70 years ago so this is a journey home.

I live in the beautiful Lake District, now a world heritage site.

I was no good at running at school and instead took the Wrights bus to Penrith or Keswick whenever I had time to go fellwalking.

It was when working in Malaysia that I discovered the Hash House Harrriers, the original fun running club, set up by expatriate rubber planters to offset the over-undulgences of the tropical weekend.

Here in the Lake District, I run with Cockermouth Hash House Harriers and with Lune Valley Hash House Harriers who are based in Lancaster.

Most runs end at a pub, so you have good drink and usually a pub meal after every run. This really is fun running.

Why do I support Population Matters?

I have always thought our planet was over full of people and supported small families and contraception. This is compounded nowadays by climate change, which is a product of both over consumption and also excessive numbers of people.

Fortunately we have the Paris Agreement but it will go nowhere without personal commitments to cut down on carbon and keep our families small. (Stop at 2 or stop at one if you are able)

Too Many People!

Its NOT about immigration; its about keeping your own family small and cut down on your own carbon footprint as I have done.

Please support Population Matters and please follow their current anthropocene campaign, saying that the human footprint is too large.
