Story
We are raising as much donations as possible for baby loss retreat in memory of my little boy Shay. Shay was due on 25th of June 2020 we were all very excited and awaited his arrival. On June 24th when i got to hospital after going into labour at home i got the devastating news that Shay no longer had a heartbeat, shay was born sleeping at 20.08pm. Shays tests all came back normal but had revealed he had passed away from placenta failure a day or two before his birth.
A few weeks after shays birth i was told by a family member about baby loss retreat, although i was not ready to speak face to face with anyone i contacted the amazing lady who runs the chairty Julie and quickly became aware i wasnt alone in this experience and didnt feel so alone. Julie kept in contact with me often to make sure i was ok and see how i was coping, she gave me lots of information of support services i could access when i felt ready. Although im still not 100%, this chairty has helped guide me through to get to where i am today. We have choosen this chairty to help struggling families access counselling and retreats to help them through these hard times after their loss. As it is also close to shays 1st birthday we will do this in his honour 💚
Thank you so much from all of us at kirktonholme xxx
