While recently channeling my “inner Beth”, I was drawn back to a conversation we had in 2015 when she and Ned were working with EDF's leadership team.  I was asking her about her work with the United Nations Working Group on Girls.  I said I was struggling to figure out where and how I could make a difference while maintaining work/life balance and she said “Cherie – bloom where you are planted.”  A few weeks ago, in a meeting with management, I promoted a plan to begin an EDF Energy North America Women’s Network.  While still early stages, the goal is to leverage the global EDF program to facilitate the development of talent and female potential (coaching, mentoring, and networking) through workshops, lunch and learns and conferences.  In honor of Beth and myself - I’m blooming!
