North East Homeless provide support to those who are vulnerable and homeless in the North East of England. They provide food and emergency equipment at street outreach sessions.

About the charity

In 2014, our founder, Brian Burridge, set up a Facebook group called North East Homeless. The group brought the North East community together to donate items such as sleeping bags, food, clothing, all in support of Homeless people in the Newcastle City Centre. North East Homeless became bigger than Brian imagined, the community spirit inspired him to formalise NEH and apply for Charity status. Then, in November 2016, North East Homeless became a CIO with the vision and direction of supporting people who are or have experienced Homelessness and/or Poverty.
