Whilst travelling across the world with his lovely girlfriend, my best friend Joe, 24, was diagnosed with testicular cancer and had to cut his travels short by 4 months. Although the testicle was removed, the cancer had spread and chemotherapy was the next step. 

But thankfully for Joe, the chemo worked and he is now cancer free!! 

On diagnosis, Joe was a healthy 23 year old which goes to show that cancer has no preference. Therefore, it is so important to be aware of the signs.

Baggy Trousers UK is a charity that raises awareness of testicular cancer through visits to schools, colleges, youth groups  and educates on how to check for testicular cancer, how to spot the signs and symptoms, so that they can get treatment sooner rather than later. They also provide support to those who have been diagnosed with testicular cancer, during and after treatment.

By running the Cambridge half marathon, I want to raise as much money as I can so other people's best friends can get the knowledge and support they need!
