2020 - I turned 30 & it was my dream to run the London Marathon on such a pinnacle year… unfortunately I didn’t get in!! 

However we all know 2020 had it’s “unprecedented time” and the marathon got cancelled!

Much to my SHOCK 2021 I got my ballot place and after a few weeks of “I can’t do this!”… I gave myself a good talking to, checked in with my PT and with the support of incredible friends, I know now…  “I’VE GOT THIS!!

I’m aiming for a sub 4 hour race and am already hitting my 16 miles with 10 weeks to go!

This race is going to push me to my limits both physically and mentally but with YOUR help and support I know I can do this!

I’m raising funds for two charities that are close to my heart and I know when the training gets tough and the race starts to hurt, I’ll be thinking of the difference WE are making to the lives of those supported by these two charities;

Coleg Elidyr - the special needs college my little brother attends. It’s a fantastic college that has given my severely autistic brother and so many others the ability to live a normal life, learn to be independent and teach them life skills to empower them in their future. Money raised will go towards their phase 2 of the educational hub facility they’re building.

Mercy UK - Mercy UK is committed to restoring hope and transforming lives by empowering Christians to develop their relationship with God, self and others. This year they celebrate their 15th Birthday - 15 years of seeing God bring freedom, hope and transformation to hundreds of young women in their Mercy Home and thousands of people through all of their other services.

Having worked for Mercy UK for 15 months before returning home to Mid Wales - I have seen first hand the difference donations make to the lives of those at the home and in the resource Mercy UK provides.
