Story

Lilly-May Page was 5 years old when she suddenly collapsed and tragically died when being collected from school in May last year.

Sudden juvenile cardiac arrest is difficult to predict because it is usually due to undiagnosed and hidden heart defects or abnormalities that do not normally manifest.

We have all seen tragic cases of seemingly fit and healthy young people dying suddenly on the news but hearing about it happening to a 5 year old is incomprehensible.

The Lilly-May Page Trust has joined forces with the Arrhythmia Alliance with the aim of building awareness of sudden juvenile cardiac arrest and raising enough money to put an AED (automated external defibrillator) in every primary school.

Would an AED have saved Lilly-May? No-one knows, but this has pulled at the heart strings of us all, parents or not.

We at ESP will be holding a series of events throughout the year to raise money for this fantastic cause. In June a group of courageous / selfless / crazy ESP employees will be tackling the Three Peaks Challenge.

This involves scaling the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales. But if that isn’t tough enough, the three climbs will be completed back to back, hopefully in a 24 hour period with no sleep!

We have a very adventurous fund raising target. Please dig deep!
