SUPPORT OUR PARAS does what it says on the tin. We support our Paras in The Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces through the welfare of veterans, serving soldiers and their families and widows, and through the maintenance of its regimental efficiency, ethos, spirit and heritage.

A lot of you are familiar with Eddys story, but for those of you who aren’t, Eddy was shot in the head whilst serving in the 3rd Battalion The Parachute Regiment in Afghanistan in 2010. He suffered life changing injuries, which resulted in him having to learn to walk again among other things which he continues to struggle with. 

For the last 2 years SOP has supported Eddy with transport costs, allowing him to attend a specialist physio centre. This in turn has helped him summit Mt Snowdon & Safel Pike and I’m doing so raise a lot of money for SOP! 

This challenge is the final push and will see Eddy summit the final peak and highest Mountain in Great Britain…Ben Nevis!
