We fund new nurses and psychologists to to help ill children and their families

Story

My brother Owen and I are running the Liverpool Half Marathon in memory of our cousin Ben who died suddenly aged 14 of a rare heart arrhythmia.

The Ben Williams Trust was set up shortly after Ben died by our Aunty, Uncle and cousin, Jo. The trust works to support children with arrhythmias and their families, helping them to live with their condition and in some cases the risk of sudden death. It does this by funding the creation of specialist posts at the Royal Brompton Hospital; firstly Ben's Nurse, a ground-breaking nurse specialist role and more recently a Clinical Psychologist. Ben was an avid and talented cricket player, and so the Trust also supports youth cricket with specific emphasis on wicketkeeping.

Ben is greatly missed and we hope that this challenge will help the Trust to continue to support children like Ben, and their families.

We would really appreciate any donations!
