I had polio when I was 5.  When I was 64 I became very ill.  On advice from a physiotherapist, I contacted the British Polio Fellowship and received advice for my GP, information about which Neurologist to be referred to, practical help with filling in forms and applying for the Blue Badge, benefits and a Motability car.  I have been grateful to the charity ever since and have tried to give something back.  The BPF is 80 this year: so am I, so it seems fitting to raise some much-needed funding to enable it to continue.
