Story
In the UK 12 people Under 25 are diagnosed with cancer every single day which is shocking and so so sad, but a reality. Childhood/teenage cancer is something i’ve always been aware of but was naive to the fact that one day one of my friends could face it. Talan was 18 when he was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer; rhabdomyosarcoma. He was the loveliest person who knew exactly how to make you laugh, even when you didn't want to. He was one of those people who was instantly loved by everyone he met (his cheeky smile definitely had something to do with that). Talan fought the strongest of fights but just over a year later he sadly passed away aged 19. .
In March I ran the Bath Half Marathon for the Talans Trust Team in a time of 1 hour 55 mins (i've never run that quick....ever!!) and on April 28th I am running the London Marathon (HELP!!!)
I am running for the Teenage Cancer Trust and am blown away that I have hit my fundraising target (thankYOU)!! For me the main motivation for the Marathon is Talan and helping to raise awareness and raise vital funds for Childhood cancer. As I have hit my TCT target any other money I raise and donations will go to Talans Trust. A local charity set up in memory of a wonderful person!
Thankyou so much to everyone for their support, I am so nervous but so excited for the challenge and to do it in Talans name.
Thankyou xxxxxxxxxxxxx
