We tackle gender inequality and violence to improve the lives of women and girls

Story

To celebrate International Women’s Day, McGoff Construction will be raising money for The Pankhurst Trust (incorporating Manchester Women’s Aid).

The Pankhurst Trust began in 2014 as a merger between The Pankhurst Centre with its museum and women-only activity space, and Manchester Women’s Aid, the regions largest specialist provider of domestic abuse services. Both organisations thrive to promote the equality of women and providing relief and support to those experiencing domestic abuse, as well as preserving and restoring 60/62 Nelson Street where the suffragette movement began.

About the charity

Manchester Women's Aid, part of The Pankhurst Trust, supports survivors of domestic violence and abuse in Manchester. We offer a holistic programme of life-saving support, including emergency refuge accommodation, community outreach, specialist BAME services, education programmes and counselling.
