Story

2017 was a challenging year for me (Ellie) having experienced a medical set back. However, I was very lucky to have had an early diagnosis and managed to fight back successfully!

Earlier this year in January, I pursued my long held goal of visiting Antarctica, the 6th Continent, with National Geographic. And what an adventure that was!! It was a magical experience!

So, having overcome last year’s set back and fresh from the visions of Antarctica and all its amazing animals and icebergs, I am now looking forward to my next challenge with Maria- trekking the Los Camino Trail in Santiago, Northern Spain!

The trek will occur on September 22-29 and 12 brave and committed  women will join us and we will raise funds for charity, BREAST CANCER NOW, which has always been close to my heart!

Breast Cancer Now is the UK's leading breast cancer research charity– and they are dedicated to funding research into this devastating disease.

Right now, breast cancer is at a tipping point. More women are surviving. But more are being diagnosed than ever before. One in eight women in the UK will face breast cancer in their lifetime. And every 45 minutes, another woman dies from the disease.

We want to help Breast Cancer Now to change that.

They believe that if we all act now, by 2050, everyone who develops breast cancer will live, and live well.
