Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.
Six years ago I ran the Great North Run and swore I would never do it again. However, everyday I am in awe of the team I work with who put so much effort and expertise into supporting patients with cognitive impairment in Sunderland Hospital. So to do my bit, I am fundraising for the patients we work with in the Alexandra Centre. The Alexandra Centre is a specialist centre at Sunderland Hospital operated by the Delirium and Dementia Outreach Team (DDOT).
They provide specialist support, meaningful activities and stimulation to our patients through personalised and patient centred therapies depending on the individual needs of the person.
This may include: reminiscence therapy, music therapy, themed days, pamper sessions, encouragement with nutrition/hydration and many more.
Together the team fundraise to enable us to provide the materials for the activities we provide. Any donation no matter how big or small would be gratefully received!
Thank you, Emily
