Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 1st May 2015, mum said goodbye to myself dad and my baby Zachary as she left her home for work. My husband, son and I had moved back into my parents during a house move and had been planning a curry that night for tea after what was meant to be hectic day moving things into our new house
10 minutes later we heard a disturbing knock on the door and opened it to a frantic colleague of hers telling us she had collapsed outside work and was unconscious. Not long after we were saying goodbye to the most amazing mother, with my brother having to make the long journey from Glasgow to say goodbye with his wife and young daughter.
We later found she had passed away after suffering spontaneous contrary artery dissection (scad), which at the time was a rare heart condition mainly affecting younger aged women.
On the 28th December this year, mum would have been 60 and for this reason myself and my brother want to raise some money for beat scad to honour her. She was the most gorgeous, kind, generous, amazing human being and to have lost her at 55 with so much to live for including her grandchildren, 3 she did not get to meet was devastating. We hope to help others so they don’t have to experience this loss
