Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Not many people have heard of Lupus. Rhys died of it on the 28th September 2013. Lupus attacked his heart and kidneys. Whilst I don't think the date needs celebrating, I think his memory certainly does. I miss him every day. Rhys was funny, sarcastic, thoughtful and determined. Despite his illness he worked full time and was an amazing husband and friend. Whilst there have been happy times since that day, the world definitely doesn't shine has bright. I smile because I was lucky to know him and because he helped make me the person I am today.
I said I would never do another half marathon but Jo has talked me into. Whilst I moan every time we go out, I'm secretly glad. It keeps me focused at a difficult time. However, training is taking over our lives. Our legs hurt and we only ever talk about mileage, routes and adjustments to the 'training plan'.
A huge amount has already been donated in Rhys' memory, so we really appreciate any money given. Thank you!
