Cycle ride complete!!!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who supported us and the Winchester Hospice! We are bowled over by how much has been raised, from so many generous people!

The day and the cycle was a great experience, which was helped by great weather and fantastic support from each other in the team - and some priceless logistical support work from Anne and Sam!

We enjoyed a drink or two afterwards on the beach in the sun and a well-deserved celebratory meal! Some great memories were made and achievements accomplished on the day and I’m sure Emma would be either telling us how proud she was of us, or how crazy we were to do it in the first place - or perhaps both!

Hi there,

As many of you will know, last year, we lost the wonderful Emma Duchesne to cancer at the age of 44. She was a bright light in our lives and we all miss her very, very much. Her illness was extremely aggressive, and the care that she received was vital for her comfort and for her family and friends’ support. Winchester Hospice provided this support. The staff there were attentive, caring, and hugely understanding of Emma and what she was going through, which was so, so important at the most difficult of times. There aren't enough words to thank them. 

Therefore, a group of us, Veryan, Charles, Nicola, Rachel, Charley and Alistair, is going to tackle the 55 miles London to Brighton bike ride on the 11th September in order to raise funds for Winchester Hospice. All money raised will go directly to the hospice so that they can continue to provide the same crucial care and support for everyone who comes through their doors. 

We would be so grateful if you could donate to this magnificent charity. We will always be indebted to them, but we would love to be able to show our thanks by making as large a donation as possible!!
