This year I have taken the plunge and enrolled my very first open water event!  I will be swimming 1 mile (1.6 km) at Loch Lomond on 29th August.

For someone who is used to swimming in the Med, you can understand how (terrified) ehem looking forward to this I am... however, I will be swimming in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, so the pain and cold will be all worth it (I hope!).

Unfortunately, cancer touches our lives one away or another at some point, and Macmillan provides the all important support to get people through such a tough and devastating event.  So, please spare a few pounds to keep me going in the cold water and most importantly to allow Macmillan workers to provide the needed support with those living with cancer!
