Our charity raises funds to help Hilary Storm Nursery & Primary School develop into a school that can sustain itself through income generating projects. So far, we have funded a water bore hole & rainwater harvest system, staff housing & a truck. The school is among the best in Kumi District.

Story

This summer Kay, Anthony, Olwen and Beatrice will be cycling 1000 miles to raise £1000 (that's around $1500) to help support a school in Uganda. While it is tempting to ask Anthony to do the whole 1000 miles again by himself (that's the distance from Lands End to John O'Groats which he cycled two years ago), this time we all want to join in. So to reach 1000 miles:

  • Anthony will cycle 500 miles
  • Kay will cycle 250 miles
  • Olwen (age 10) will cycle 150 miles
  • Beatrice (age 7) will cycle 100 miles

This project will fill our weekends over the summer and well into Autumn. We will tally up the miles we cycle and try to cycle all together whenever possible. 1000 miles (as well as being the length of Britain) is approximately the equivalent of cycling right across North Carolina ... and back. So please help us to reach our goal, we are going to work hard to earn our donations!
