Story

To raise money for Community Action Nepal, Ben and I will be taking part in a 50 mile walk in 24 hours across the Peak District, starting at 07:00 on the 2nd April (www.will4adventure.com/challenge4charity).  The exact route is yet to be confirmed, but it will include hills, mud, rain, cold, blisters, aching muscles and severe tiredness...!  Anything you can give to encourage us to keep walking will be greatly appreciated, and will go to a very worthwhile cause.

Last year, I (Felicity) was lucky enough to visit Nepal and go on a trek to Annapurna Sanctuary.  I found a beautiful country full of the kindest people; people who had so little and yet managed to be so full of happiness.  A few weeks later that country and those people were devastated by an earthquake.  Essential aid was sent at the time, but they still need our help.

Community Action Nepal (CAN) is a UK based charity whose aim is to help the mountain people of Nepal.  It was founded by Doug Scott in 1975 and works in partnership with the local mountain communities to provide health, welfare and education facilities.

Thank you :-)
