Findel Educations Lockdown walk - Derian House Emergency Fundraising Appeal

Fundraising for Derian House Children's Hospice
£6,819
raised of £3,000 target

The current Coronavirus outbreak is causing worry for all of us, but our dedicated team of nurses and support staff are busy planning for all eventualities. No matter what happens, we will remain here helping our children and their families.

Story

We're raising money for Derian House Childrens Hospice emergency fundraising appeal. The charity offers a vital lifeline for more than 400 seriously ill children from across the North West. Derian House is set to lose £250,000 following the forced cancellation of its spring and summer fundraising events programme due to the coronavirus outbreak. This cash was vital to continue looking after vulnerable and sick children in our community now and in the future. Please help me support my local childrens hospice. They need us now more than ever.

Whilst this time is really difficult for us all, we are grateful that we are allowed our daily opportunity to exercise - so with this in mind, we are challenging all of our employees to take a walk over the weekend of 23rd and 24th May and clock up a total of 1700 miles - we're aiming to walk the distance from Lands End to John O'Groats and back.. roughly!

We'll update pics, include videos and hopefully generate a little healthy competition to see who can clock up the most miles.

We're grateful for all donations - we'd love to hit our target of £2000 - so please share and help where possible.

Thank you from everyone at Findel Education :)
