Story
Stan, was a dog handler for many years and loved training and working the dogs. He had Jonah, Freya, Donna and then tried to train Barney! Barney who was having none of it would find but not come back and tell anyone he had found and he was by far Dad’s favourite of them all. Dad passed away on 10th October 2020 - he is at peace now. He has left a massive hole in our lives and things will not be the same again.
But if he taught me anything it was about keeping going and always seeing the good in people. He was always up for a chat and loved having the house busy with people. He was an amazing Grandad and was very much loved by all of us. He and Mum would have been married for 50yrs on 17th October and that is something I can only aspire to.
He did suffer from dementia but that was only a very small part of who he was. He was the master of cover up when he didn’t know who someone was or what was happening laterally. So it was hard to tell that he was having trouble remembering things.
