In December 2015, I reached my worse point, anorexia had totally taken over my life. It was down to Marc at First Steps that I actually began eating after months of salad. We did our best but by March 2016, I was admitted into hospital at a low weight and not allowed to even walk. It was down to first steps again that I got out of hospital at a little safer but still dangerous low weight to come home and not an eating disorder clinic.

After months of seeing Marc and going to First Steps, I am now healthy and living a life which I never thought I would have back. I could never repay back what this charity did for me. 

I set up  my own blog and recovery account on Instagram @first_steps_to_running to show people all the first steps and the challenges someone with anorexia faces in recovery as well as just babble on about daily life but It was on here I meet the wonderful Emily. 

Now both friends, both suffered from anorexia, valuing and seeing the the importance of First Steps work we decided to reach our aim to recover and run again and raise money for them in the process. So why not make the first race a half marathon? 

The charity provides people with a unique one to one session with some one who understands exactly (as they have been through it themselves) as well as group therapy and sessions help at Nottingham universities and Derby university.
