Peter Cross, a close school friend of ours, tragically lost his battle against leukemia on 3rd June 2012. Pete was diagnosed with cancer in June 2010, a week after he sat his last A-Level – the results of which were outstanding and incredibly he achieved straight A’s. He was due to go on the boys holiday with us but two days before he was due to fly he was admitted to the UCLH cancer ward and faced 2 years of chemotherapy, amongst other intensive treatments all of which he accepted with unbelievable courage and bravery. He had to cancel his place at Southampton University to study Economics.
A few years ago we organized a charity football match in his memory & we've decided to do the same again this year - former team mates of Peter will face the current Davenant X1 in a football match, scheduled to kick off at Midday, Saturday 21st May.
Peter was a fantastic footballer, with a lovely left-foot and some of our most cherished memories are of him playing football alongside us. The last match raised over 1000 pounds, please DONATE GENEROUSLY and also come down to the match to show your support in memory of one of our best-friends and a loving son.
All money raised is going toward the TEENAGE CANCER TRUST.
