We use the game of cricket as a vehicle to improve physical and mental wellbeing

Story

Keaton Jennings, Academy Director John Windows, DCCC staff and local community members will all partake in this year’s Simplyhealth Great North Run.

A rare September break following Durham’s Specsavers County Championship against Kent at the beginning of next month has allowed Jennings to take part in the largest half-marathon in the world for the first time.

He will be joined by DCCC Academy director Windows, who previously played for Durham and is responsible for unearthing cricket talent such as Ben Stokes, Mark Wood, Liam Plunkett and Mark Stoneman and also six further staff members of DCCC.

The Durham County Cricket Foundation raises the aspirations of the North East community through cricket. Every penny raised will go directly to supporting us to continue the work that we do.
