We are calling time on harm & exploitation to stop the abuse of older people in the UK

Story

On the 6th March 2015 video footage was aired on the news of Freda Jobson being abused at the hands of her carers. Freda had herself cared for the elderly, she was a kind and compassionate woman who deserved far better. We, who knew and worked with her want to show our respect for her, our disgust at her treatment and to raise awareness and funds for Action on Elder Abuse. This type of treatment must stop.

Some might say there is no personal struggle in doing this walk but this mirrors the fact that caring for someone in a humanitarian way is not that difficult either.

Freda worked at Broadgates for many years so what better place to start. We will do our walk on mothers day, Freda is a mother and grandmother.

Anybody can join us, if you have loved somebody who ended their life in care, if you worried about them or if you are just appalled by what you see and hear on the news.
