Samantha: ”It is a great honour to be selected to race at Olympia, and it is a great way go finish my 2 years racing with my fab jockey Freddy.  I have taught him a lot, and he has learned a lot.  Can I have a carrot now please?”.

Freddy: My story began watching Shetland Pony racing at Gatcombe in 2017.  Seeing this exciting event gave me the inspiration to see if I could compete, and become an SPGN jockey.

With help from Mum and Dad, we found the perfect pony.  My pony Samantha (Stepley Samara) has looked after me from day one.  She has been brilliant travelling all over the country, racing at fantastic venues.  We have made some great friends, and memories that will last forever.

A BIG thank you to everyone at SPGN, especially Bob, Seb and Vera who have always been so kind and helpful...as Bob always says..”it is all about the start”, and SPGN has given me lots of confidence and a great start to my riding career.

In 2005 my Granny Ruth passed away from Cancer.  I never met her, as I was born 2 years later, so please help me and Samantha raise every valuable penny to help Bob and the team beat this disease.
