HARP 24 is a 24 hour running race held at Westcliff Rugby Club on Aviation Way, Southend. It starts at midday on Saturday 23rd June and ends Sunday 24th at midday. The idea is to run as many laps as possible within that time.

3rd Chalkwell Bay is entering two teams into HARP 24 to raise funds to update and expand the facilities at our HQ in Old Leigh, as well as providing £400 to HARP (a charity supporting homelessness in Southend).

3rd Chalkwell Bay is a scouting group that is dedicated to offering great experiences and opportunities to young people from the age of 6 to 25.  As part of the group valuable skills are learnt as well as providing a strong community for the children involved. 

3rd Chalkwell Bay is a registered charity run by a team of dedicated volunteers. We rely on donations and fundraising, along with our members subscriptions, to keep the Group running and ensure Scouting in Old Leigh is affordable for all.

Fundraising is taking place so that facilities can be improved to allow better opportunities to be offered to young people in the local area. For more information about Our Big Project please follow the link below:
