George and I have challenge ourselves to tandem cycle from County Durham to Berkshire. Covering over 260 miles to raise funds for The COSMIC charity. We will start our challenge on the 21st April with the hope to arrive home 3 days later, unless we get very lost!

The COSMIC charity supports the children's intensive care unit at St Mary's Hospital. The hospital Tiggy was transferred to by ambulance at 18 days old when our local hospital didn’t have the facilities to support her when she stopped breathing at home and was put on life support.

Tiggy received life saving treatment for 5 days under the care of the most incredible doctors and nurses at St Mary's.

COSMIC gives babies the chance to survive by funding research, life saving medical equipment and specialist paediatric training. Parents and families are also supported every step of the way by COSMIC providing accommodation. This allowed George and I to be close to Tiggy whilst she stayed in intensive care and gave us the chance to try and rest.

Nothing will ever be enough to thank the doctors and nurses for saving Tiggy's life but as a small gesture to show our appreciation we will try and raise as much money as possible for COSMIC.
