In January 2018 my family was first hit with the news
that all families fear most, my wife, a much-cherished mum and step-mum, was
diagnosed with cancer. She was told she had breast cancer. Until this dreaded
news is broken to you in that doctors’ room it is almost impossible to imagine
the impact and force it will hit you with and how it can turn a life and a whole
family upside down. Thankfully my wife is one of the lucky ones and is a
fighter, she has battled and is now recovering. During this turbulent time
Pretty ‘n Pink, the only registered local breast cancer charity, were on hand
to support my wife and our family and we are now looking to repay this support.
