Hello i'm taking part in Outlaw X on the 26/09/21, I signed up for the event in 2019 to take place in 2020, but was rearranged for 2021, my main interest is cycling road and off road, i have always wanted to complete a triathlon, so i thought it would be a good idea to sign up for an Outlaw event, the event consists of 1.2 mile open water swim in the Thoresby Lake followed by 56mile cycle ride through the north Nottinghamshire countryside followed by 13.1mile run through the grounds of Thoresby Park, my training plan as not gone to plan, with alsorts of excuses from bad weather, self isolating, aches and pains, work,  the list goes on😀, despite the excuses i have still managed to get in 6 to 8 hours training per week over the last few weeks, swimming is my poor event, to the extent I couldn't swim freestyle a few weeks ago, so signed up for swimming lessons , increased time in pool, and have improved alot, next step open water swimming 🙁 Cycling is my strong event and then just the 13.1 mile run, legs tired thinking about it 😊.   So I thought it would be a good idea to try and raise a bit of money for a worthy charity,  LIVES.                                                                              LIVES is a unique charity in the UK dedicated to supporting 700+ volunteers who give up their spare time to save lives across the county. Our First Responders helped over 20,000 people across Lincolnshire in 2017, and we estimate 1 in 5 people in Lincolnshire have been helped by LIVES in the lat 15 years. Our responders’ actions literally save lives, delivering that vital immediate care in those critical first moments before handing over to the ambulance service.
